I went to Munich a couple of weeks ago and I completely forgot about writing a post for it. I travelled by coach which was incredibly fast and incredibly CHEAP! 6 euros ain't half bad! I didn't quite know what to expect when I arrived. I explored most of Munich with my good m8 Kate, and we saw some pretty great things, thanks to a free walking tour! After the walking tour we ate some giant Schweinhaxn (pork knuckles) which were delicious but reduced us both to meat sweats. We then met up with some other m8's and drank beer for the rest of the night at a bar that served some really great craft beers. On the following day we went to the Pinothek der Moderne which housed some pretty great artists, some pretty neat furniture design and a really great film exhibition showcasing 30~ short films from around the world.

This was the first big city I had been to in Europe and it was unlike anything I was used to back in Regensburg, with huge buildings and an incredibly important history (foundation of what was to be the Nazi Party!). I know it's lame and cheesy but, I still find myself in awe at the fact that I am EXISTING in the same places that many famous people have walked before me, and walking through churches and streets that seen so many events. People must have been wondering what this grinning idiot was doing!

AND I FINALLY HAD FRIED CHICKEN. THANKS 2 KFC.
